Bill Hansen and Staff Team up with Gallery of Amazing Things for Bar, Bat Mitzvahs

COCONUT GROVE – When visitors pull up to the Gallery of Amazing Things (www.galleryamazing.com) in Broward County they are greeted by a giant butterfly painted on the side of the building and an ancient tyrannosaurus rex skeleton hovering above them.

This is just a sampling of what is inside and what has made this a truly unique venue for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

And that’s exactly what Bill Hansen, CEO of Bill Hansen Luxury Catering & Events Production (www.BillHansenCatering.com) , seeks when adding new venues to his exclusive portfolio. The Gallery of Amazing Things is one of more than 100 unique South Florida venues under Hansen’s direction. It clearly illustrates Hansen’s growing reputation as the “go-to guy” for those seeking untraditional events.

“If you want an event at a hotel or country club, we’re not for you,” said Hansen. “Our clients are creative and adventurous and turn to us when they want to have a truly memorable experience. And, that is particularly important when it comes to their children who are having their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

“The Gallery of Amazing Things meets their needs And much more.”

This venue houses one-of-a-kind artifacts and collectibles in the 40,000 square-foot building.  One of the major appeals is that the Gallery has a 19,000-square foot banquet room that is basically a “blank canvas” that can accommodate pretty much any theme. Add pieces from the collection and Hansen’s clients can have an event that is appealing to adults as well as young teens.

In recent months Hansen and the Gallery staff have planned truly “amazing” events. They have had an urban event featuring skateboard ramps; a basketball theme with a full court and bleachers; and a Star Wars reception complete with light sabers and costumed staff.

Hansen’s clients can also incorporate a wide range of collectibles into the event, including perfect sculptures, monumental crystals, 50-million-year-old fossils, and even a chandelier that is home for 300 porcelain fairies.

“Our guests step into an enchanting world, one that is simply perfect for those seeking a unique event,” said Gregg Whittecar, owner. “There is not another venue in the area that offers the excitement, mystery and ‘oh wow’ factor for those hoping to create a truly memorable experience.

“We look forward to working with Bill and his staff in creating amazing events. We have seen a huge increase among those planning Bar and Bat Mitzvahs simply because there is so much to offer for the kids and the adults.”

The versatile site is also  perfect for a small intimate affair to sit down dinners for 600, corporate events, brand launches, cultural events, and weddings.

Based out of Villa Woodbine, a historic mansion in Coconut Grove, Hansen and his team of executive chefs and event producers consistently deliver on their promise of creating “one-of-a-kind” memorable experiences that eliminate the stress during the event planning phase or on the day of the event.

In addition to Villa Woodbine, Hansen offers other venues including Vizcaya, the Kampong, Fairchild Tropical Garden, Park Place, Palm Court, The Alfred I DuPont Building, The Moore Building, The Cruz Building, the Walton House, Samsara, Estancia Culinaria, The Charles Deering Estate, 1111 Lincoln Road, The Gallery of Amazing Things, The Versace Mansion, The Temple House the Rubell Family Collection, The Ice Palace, The Walton House, The Ancient Spanish Monastery, The Bonnet House, The Needham Estate, to name a few.  He caters at more than 100 venues throughout South Florida.

“This affiliation with the Gallery of Amazing Things is part of our ongoing efforts to provide the highest quality service, the finest food, and unique venues,” said Hansen.

There is no detail too small for Hansen and his staff.

“We offer all types of cuisine with a catering staff that rivals any 5-star restaurant in the area,” said  Hansen. “Our chefs provide all types of ethnic cuisines and Kosher menus, to name a few. There isn’t a menu we cannot provide to our clients.”
