6 Reasons Why Miami Makes a Top Destination Wedding Location

Thinking about having a Miami destination wedding in 2020? If you’ve been dreaming of having your big day in South Florida this summer or by the end of the year, it’s still not too late to begin planning! There are plenty of reasons why you’ll want to consider making it official in the Sunshine State.
Here are our top reasons why Miami makes a great location for your destination wedding!
1. Venues and Vendors Galore!

It’s no secret South Florida offers a diverse collection of jaw-dropping wedding venues and talented vendors. Waterfront, historical, modern, garden, rustic, toes-in-the sand, you name it – we’ve got it! During summer months, venues provide a lot more in our off-peak season in June, July, August, and September.  Not only will your venue of choice most likely be available, but you’ll get the royal treatment because they’ll want your business during the slow season. Same principle applies for vendors. For our summer brides, we strongly recommend you choose either an all-indoor venue or a venue that provides a tent with air conditioning for your ceremony and reception.

2. Choosing an Off-Peak Date Could Save You a Lot of Money.

Saturday is the most popular day of the week to tie the knot, but you’ll find a lot more deals and discounts when choosing a weekday to get married. Whether you’re the eloping couple, or just want to include a few close friends and family members, or want a full blowout affair with multiple parties, we guarantee you can find affordable options and perks when you choose an off-peak date. In off-season, you are more likely to find your top vendor picks are available even if you are planning last minute. You may also find some vendors are more willing to work with your budget and can be a little more flexible in their offerings.

3. Flights are Affordable.

Are your guests scattered across the country? They’ll have no problem finding a budget-friendly flight to one of our two airports: Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Most east coast airports offer direct flights to South Florida as well.

4. There’s Something for Everyone!

There is no shortage of activities and sites to see for you and your loved ones in South Florida. Thank them for traveling to your nuptials while you bond with family and friends on an epic pre- or post-wedding excursion. The beaches, culture, nightlife, and stunning views make it a one-stop vacation location.

5. A Longer Celebration.

Typical weddings are only a one-day celebration, and after a morning of getting glamorous, you’ll only spend time with guests for part of a day. Having a destination wedding allows for you and your guests to spend a few days celebrating this special time.

6. Hello, Honeymoon!

Let’s be honest – the best honeymoon includes sun, sand, and beautiful beaches. While we have stunning beaches of our own, South Florida is also the gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America, filled with some of the best beaches in the world, rich cultures, and unique adventures. Begin your happily-ever-after in style by combining tranquility, romance, and much-needed relaxation.
